Submit Now: Residential and Commercial Design Summer Competition for Students
The Emerging Professionals Program, by Dunn-Edwards Paints, will honor outstanding students – emerging professionals – in architecture and design this summer.
Dunn-Edwards recognizes that professional development is evolution. This competition fills a gap for all skill levels to practice real-world commercial and residential design applications while still in school. Open to all entry-level and advanced national architecture and interior design students currently enrolled in the school.

Using Dunn-Edwards Color of the Year, Wild Blue Yonder (DE5855), to anchor the designs, advanced participants and beginners alike must meet a specific need of a hypothetical customer. Advanced participants submit a mood board, color renders and a written description. Beginner level participants submit a mood board and written description.
PRIZES: 1st place winners will receive national recognition through a feature in Dunn-Edwards Specifications + Spaces, social media recognition and earn $ 3,000 in cash. Winners will also be selected for 2nd and 3rd places to receive cash prizes. Beginner level winners will receive a $ 100 Dunn-Edwards gift card. Pre-registration prizes will be awarded to the first 5 participants.

McLean, Editor and Head of Color Marketing at Dunn-Edwards Paints, Garry Cohn, Director of Design at Cohn Design, Kali Sipes, Head of US Brand Awareness at Curator Paints, Liana Gonzales, design competition at Made Renovation, Alexis Gyenge, Adjunct Faculty of Interior Design and Sustainability at Pima Community College, and Cyn Moreno, influencer and set designer at Hot Pink Pineapples.
