AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA, Jan. 13, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Jeremy Koomler, NCARB, and Marvin Bonilla, NCARB have co-founded a new architectural design firm in Austin, Texas dedicated to local commercial and institutional design – Framework Architects.
The Framework Architects team is currently working on Over Yonder Nature School, a nature-focused preschool on a five-acre wooded site, Learning Path Childcare Center, a new daycare center in Marble Falls, and Helm Corporate Real Estate in Austin. Riverside/Oltorf area. The company provides comprehensive design services, from site selection and design development to construction documents, permits and construction administrative support.
Bonilla says, “Framework’s logo is a triangle, derived from the delta symbol used in architecture to indicate that something has changed. Our goal is to change the framework of the client/contractor/architect relationship and to align them. The two pieces symbolize the meeting of two entities. Koomler adds: “We have created an architecture studio based on collaboration and a culture of mentorship. Our non-hierarchical studio will invite the brightest talent and, in doing so, become a respected contender for commercial architecture in Austin.
The team recently completed the new headquarters for Gathered Foods in Austin. This innovative company – the creators of Good Catch, an award-winning plant-based seafood brand – wanted a unique and creative new space that included a food lab and studio kitchen for video production, among other unique needs. The company’s mission of sustainability served as a compass to begin scouting for fitout spaces in the Austin area.
With help from Framework, Gathered Foods finally settled on a space at The Yard, a new development in the revitalized warehouse district of St. Elmo, home to community-minded businesses, local entrepreneurs, fresh tech ideas and South Austin culture. Gathered Foods’ new headquarters includes executive and communal workspace, meeting spaces, a food lab and test kitchen, a support kitchen, and a studio kitchen for filming and photography. Framework engaged S. Tipton Studio for the interior design, APTUS Engineering for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing, and Hollingsworth Pack for the structural engineering.
Christine Mei, CEO of Gathered Foods, said, “Our new space is more than an office. It’s a workspace, a meeting place, an event space and a creative space, with a kitchen at its heart. We’re incredibly happy with the end result, and it’s a testament to the creative, careful, and thoughtful work of the Framework team. The final headquarters space is 14,000 square feet and is located at 440 E. St. Elmo Rd., Building D. Project construction was completed in late November 2021.
Framework Architects was created from two designers’ passion for service-based leadership and innovative problem solving. The company aims to guide its clients through the demanding design and construction process, with continuous and predictable results.
